Evaluation
At Impact, we evaluate the health outcomes experienced by every patient we’ve treated. Evaluation is an essential and ongoing part of all our activities, as we believe that robust evaluation is necessary to ensure high quality service delivery and outcomes. During Impact’s development phase, our comprehensive evaluation framework was designed by the Impact team, Nottingham City PCT and New Deal for Communities. Areas of evaluation include improvements in patients’ health and wellbeing, reductions in GP attendance rates, reductions in medication and reductions in referrals to secondary care. Health outcomes measures SF-36 and MYMOP are used with each patient.

Evaluation of our practice-based outcomes demonstrates that we can effectively treat a range of conditions, including mental health conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, back pain, chronic pain, and gynaecological and menstrual disorders.
Drs Shona Kelly and Emmanuel Atsu Dodor from the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health, School of Community Sciences, University Hospital, Nottingham have independently assessed all our SF-36 and MYMOP data. Dr Kelly has also reviewed the data collected on reductions in the take up of NHS resources. This independent academic scrutiny ensures that the results we report are reliable.
